This path contains the various practices to unite the Bhakta with the divine. The deeply spiritual practice for the emotional and devotional people which draws heavily on the hindu pantheon of deities.<br>There are nine practices of Bhakti Yoga (Nivabida Bhakti)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>a) Shravanam&nbsp;<\/strong>&#8211;&nbsp;<strong>\u2018Listening\u2019&nbsp;<\/strong>the name of god, mantras or shlokas, etc.<br><strong>b) Smarnam&nbsp;<\/strong>&#8211;&nbsp;<strong>\u2018rememberin<\/strong>g\u2019 the god by taking the name and their form.&nbsp;<strong>c) Kirtanam&nbsp;<\/strong>&#8211;&nbsp;<strong>\u2018Singing\u2019&nbsp;<\/strong>devotional songs.<br><strong>d) Archanam&nbsp;<\/strong>&#8211;&nbsp;<strong>\u2018o<\/strong><strong>ff<\/strong><strong>ering\u2019&nbsp;<\/strong>something to god.<br><strong>e) Vandanam&nbsp;<\/strong>&#8211;&nbsp;<strong>\u2018Saluting\u2019&nbsp;<\/strong>before the image or sculpture of god.<br><strong>f) Dasyam&nbsp;<\/strong>&#8211;&nbsp;<strong>\u2018sevak\u2019&nbsp;<\/strong>by serving the will of god instead of one\u2019s own ego.<br><strong>g) Padseva&nbsp;<\/strong>&#8211;&nbsp;<strong>\u2018service at the feet\u2019&nbsp;<\/strong>incorporates practice of selfless service.&nbsp;<strong>h) Sakhyam&nbsp;<\/strong>&#8211;&nbsp;<strong>\u2018Friendship\u2019&nbsp;<\/strong>relationship established with the devotee.<br><strong>i) Atmanivednam&nbsp;<\/strong>&#8211;&nbsp;<strong>\u2018Self o<\/strong><strong>ff<\/strong><strong>ering\u2019&nbsp;<\/strong>complete surrender of the self to divine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bhakti softens the heart and removes jealousy, hatred, lust, anger, ego, pride and arrogance. It infuses joy, divine ecstasy, bliss, peace and knowledge.
