Breath and mind

The breath responds to emotion and also influences emotion. When breathing becomes smoother, the mind often becomes easier to steady.

Foundational approach

Begin with awareness of natural breathing. Later practices such as Nadi Shodhana and Kapalabhati should be learned gradually and correctly.

Safety

Never force breath retention or intense breathing. Stop if there is dizziness, strain, anxiety, or discomfort.
